The 'Speak Up Hertsmere' Youth Council is a group of young people who meet to discuss, debate and take action on issues affecting young people in the Hertsmere area. A youth council is somewhere that young people can raise issues and get their views heard by the people who can make a difference. It is also an organisation for change and also aims to promote the good work that young people are doing in the area.

It runs every Friday evening so come along and get involved - there's no need to book.

View on map...Situated on the first floor of 96 Shenley Road, the Services for Young People Borehamwood Young People's Centre is open to young people who live in and around the Hertsmere district. Young people can get information, advice and support on a wide range of subjects. We help young people progress into education, training or to find a job or apprenticeship. Just got your exam results? We can talk you through your options. We also offer support with issues such as mental health, relationships, personal safety, benefits and finances, housing and homelessness, drug and alcohol use. Young people can also access sexual health services, including free condoms, free pregnancy testing and free chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing.
