Ever been interested in working for the NHS? Why not come along to the Services for Young People NHS Cadets Project at County Hall in Hertford and find out about the many possible career opportunities on offer. You will also get the chance to take part in volunteering, learn First Aid and build your CV!
If you're 14-16 years old and interested in finding out about a career in the NHS, our NHS Cadets Project might be for you!
You will have the opportunity to develop your CV, learn First Aid and find out about a wide variety of careers in the NHS. You will also have the opportunity to do some relevant volunteering work.
Not interested in becoming a doctor or a nurse? The NHS is the biggest employer in the UK, and has hundreds of different career opportunities including maintenance, gardening, admin, pharmacy, ambulance roles and much more.
You will have the opportunity to research these different careers and listen to NHS guest speakers. The project will also help you to boost your confidence and develop your interpersonal skills.
As part of the project you will produce an evidence-based portfolio, which can be used when applying for college or a job.
NHS Cadets is a fun and exciting free project starting on 21st February 2023 and will run every Tuesday during term time, from 4:15pm – 5:30pm. The sessions are based at County Hall in Hertford.
