The Healthy Lifestyles Project at Ridgeway Academy Sports Centre in Welwyn Garden City is a Services for Young People project for young people who are interested in finding out how simple lifestyle changes can improve both physical and mental health.

Join the Healthy Lifestyles Project at Ridgeway Academy Sports Centre to find out how implementing simple lifestyle changes and looking after your health and wellbeing can ultimately enable you to feel more positive and feel better about yourself.

By taking part in interactive workshops and activities you will explore what changes you can make, some of them quite small, to maintain good general health and strengthen your emotional wellbeing so you feel able to face present and future challenges.

You will learn about:

  • Healthy and nutritional foods which provide long-term health benefits and can boost mood and energy
  • Ways to stay safe and build positive and healthy relationships
  • How to deal with peer pressure and take greater control of decision making
  • How to nurture emotional wellbeing and improve self-esteem
