Creative Spark is a project for young people with mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities in the St Albans area. Run by Services for Young People, the project enables young people to build communication skills, resilience and independent living skills through a variety of activities.
The Creative Spark Project at the Harpenden Young People’s Centre is for young people with mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities.
You can get involved with activities, develop skills for independent living and join discussions with Youth Workers on subjects such as relationships, health and emotional wellbeing.
Young people can learn about:
- relationships
- confidence and resilience
- staying safe
- emotional wellbeing
- healthy lifestyle
- food, nutrition and cooking
- managing money and budgeting
The project runs:
- Every Monday, 6:00pm to 8:00pm, for young adults aged 18-24
The focus of the programme is on developing independant living skills.
Harpenden Young People’s Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
