Services for Young People Cheshunt Access Point Project at Cheshunt Young People's Centre

At the Cheshunt Access Point Project young people can access a wide range of services. We help young people progress into education, training or to find a job or apprenticeship. We also offer confidential one-to-one support with issues such as mental health, relationships, personal safety, benefits and finances, housing and homelessness, drug and alcohol use. Young people can also access sexual health services, including free condoms and free chlamydia testing.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 3–6pm
Our Access Point Projects are all open for face-to-face appointments. Phone and video-call appointments are also available.
You can call, text or email to make an appointment or just drop in during the opening times. Making an appointment in advance will ensure you don’t have to wait to be seen.
Last day open: Wednesday 22nd December; reopening on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
The service is free and confidential for all young people.
At the Cheshunt Access Point Project you can access information, advice and support – including on the following:
- Sexual health including:
- free condoms through the Condom Wallet Scheme
- free chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing
- free pregnancy testing
- Advice on general health and relationships
- Education and exams, including exam pressure
- Drugs, substance misuse and alcohol
- Jobs and careers
- Training and apprenticeships
- Benefits and finance
- Housing and homelessness
- Youth work projects in your area
- Improving resilience, self-esteem and confidence
- Independent living skills
We also have PCs that you can use for research, developing CVs, searching for jobs and training and accessing other information.
If you are a care leaver or preparing to leave care, you can also get support to help you become more independent and confident in all areas of your life. We will help you identify you goals in life and focus on how you can achieve them.
Cheshunt Young People's Centre is fully wheelchair accessible and has been certified by Hertfordshire County Council as Covid-19 Secure.
