Borehamwood Care Experienced Young People's Hub is a monthly drop-in at Borehamwood Young People's Centre for care experienced young people in Hertsmere.
The Care Experienced Young People's Hub at Borehamwood Young People's Centre is a relaxed environment where care leavers can meet with their support worker and access help from a Services for Young People Adviser or Youth Worker.
Young people can access confidential one-to-one support with issues such as:
- Mental and physical health
- Personal safety
- Benefits and finances
- Housing and homelessness
- Drug and alcohol use
Sexual health services and advice, including:
- free condoms
- free pregnancy testing
- free chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing
Young people can explore career opportunities, job search, create or update a CV, prepare for an interview, explore opportunities for employment, apprenticeships or apply for college and training.
The Care Experienced Young People's Hub can help you to gain valuable life skills, help you to live more independently, and healthily, as well as build your confidence.
